WHO WE ARE
Stichting Makodeny, started in 1995 by a Kenyan after realizing the educational needs of youth from poor families in Kadibo Division, Kisumu County Kenya, is a development-oriented organisation. School fees payment began with paying for one student from a personal account, then two, three ……and so on until a stage where it was clear that an educational fund needs to be established. It is difficult to pick one person to give support when you are faced with a very large group of youth from poor families who are all equally in need. Makodeny aims to send all these youth to school and then to a training institute so that they can grow into self-reliant individuals.Makodeny also assists in community development projects in the areas where these youth reside. These include: Water projects (digging of boreholes), and income-generating projects.
The vision of Stichting Makodeny is to empower youth from poor families in Kadibo Division, Kisumu County, through education so that they can grow into self-reliant individuals.
To engage potential funders, individuals or companies, to finance education of youth from poor families and further support other general projects in Kadibo Division, Kisumu County, for example borehole digging.
The foundation aims to fund and support education and development projects in Kadibo Division Kisumu County Kenya.
